There are days that slip by unnoticed, and then there are days that split life into a before and after—moments so profound they rewrite our priorities, shift our perspective, and leave us forever changed. Some come with joy, others with sorrow, but none leave us untouched. For Fred Amato, that day came on Dec. 15, 2021.
Fred and his family moved to Florida in 2018, chasing new beginnings. With a background in equities trading, he sought a fresh start in real estate. His sons thrived—one earning a scholarship to the University of Florida, the other winning a state championship for his high school lacrosse team, which ended up earning him a scholarship to Lehigh University—and Fred became ingrained in his community. It was then that he met Danny. Danny was more than a neighbor—he became a mentor, a father figure, a partner in a new equities trading business and the man who led Fred to faith. Through their friendship, Fred found solace in God, was baptized, and built a life he never imagined possible. Then, the unthinkable happened. One early December morning, Danny was tragically hit and killed in a bicycle accident in front of Fred.
This loss was raw and sudden. It forced him to confront deep emotions—grief, anger, and an overwhelming sense of injustice. It was in the wake of this heartbreak that his perspective on life, work, and relationships fundamentally shifted. He couldn’t return to the equities business he and Danny had once been building, so he set out in search of a new purpose—and that’s when he found The N2 Company. Through N2, he connected with people who helped him heal, who reminded him that life’s hardest moments can be the catalyst for profound change. His role with the company wasn’t just about sales or success; it became a way to invest in others, to be part of something bigger than himself. He learned that business, at its best, isn’t just about profit—it’s about people.
Now, after two and a half years, Fred owns three magazines, runs a six-figure business and supports his family tenfold. He’s truly built something for himself and in memory of the amazing friend he lost. The one who showed him so much more than friendship, but led Fred to faith. Fred’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, changing directions after loss and the importance of finding the right community. His story isn’t just about tragedy; it’s about transformation. And for him, The N2 Company wasn’t simply a company to work with—it was the place that helped him rebuild, refocus, and redefine what truly mattered.
