Meet Your Neighbor: Frank Koenig and Family

Frank Koenig and his wife Amanda live in Highland Lakes with their daughter Olivia. They moved to the neighborhood in November 2014.

Frank was born in Steubenville, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1987-1993 and U.S. Navy Reserve from 1993-2008. Frank joined the Navy straight after high school seeking an opportunity for growth and adventure while traveling around the world.

Frank worked in the logistics career field through his 20 years serving. He was stationed in the Philippines for two years and Hawaii for three years. The Navy taught Frank the concepts of teamwork with how every person is a leader and how they rely on each other to complete the larger tasks at hand.

Frank stays involved around the community through the Westerville Veterans of Foreigns Wars Post along with various school committees at Alcott Elementary School and Genoa Middle School. He has volunteered at the Veterans Museum and Memorial and annually at the Rotary Club Field of Heroes every Memorial weekend.

Frank’s wife Amanda is from Orient, Ohio. Their daughter Olivia dances competitively at Generations Performing Arts Center in Westerville. She dances in numerous disciplines while being involved in several clubs at Westerville Central where she maintains excellent grades.

Frank cherishes spending quality time with his family. They enjoy annual vacations with Amanda’s family to Emerald Isle, North Carolina and especially love their trips to Hawaii and Disney World!

Frank follows Ohio State and Cleveland sports teams and never misses an opportunity to cheer on the Buckeyes, Browns, Cavs and Guardians! Some of Frank’s favorite pastimes are riding his motorcycle around town, working out and watching historic movies. Frank particularly enjoys studying American and World history.

Frank enjoys reading about his neighbors on Stroll and especially loves the food articles and observing the real estate market. Frank enjoys the safe environment and friendly neighbors of Highland Lakes. He loves the upkeep of the community and sidewalks for long enjoyable strolls.

Frank loves seeing young families moving into the neighborhood and believes that Highland Lakes is a great place for raising your children. He wishes for neighbors moving in to cherish the community as much as his family has over the years.
