For 21 years, Pam Faust served her country with dedication, adaptability, and pride. Her military career began in aircraft armament, where she spent 12 years loading weapons on fighter aircraft, including the F-111, F-16, and A-10. As her career evolved, she embraced new challenges, serving as a liaison for international fighter pilot students training on the F-16 before transitioning to airspace management. Working closely with the FAA, she coordinated airspace operations for fighter aircraft and aerial refueling missions, helping ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
While she is proud of her military service, her commitment to serving others continues today. She remains active in her community, helping those in need and teaching Sunday school to kindergarten and first-grade students.
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, she reflects on the freedoms and opportunities that make our nation special. “Freedom to live in a country with unlimited opportunities,” she says. “I’m proud to have served my country.”
Of all her accomplishments, however, her greatest source of pride is her faith. She treasures the freedom to openly worship her Lord and Savior and considers her faith and salvation among life’s greatest blessings.

David Aiken | U.S. Navy Veteran (Ret) | Electronics Technician (E-6)
David Aiken proudly served seven years in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician (E-6), where his expertise played a critical role in supporting military aviation operations and national defense.
During his service, David was responsible for the technical operation and maintenance of Ground Control Approach radar equipment, ensuring the safe guidance of aircraft during military flight operations. He also provided precision radar support for Navy aircraft and air traffic control operations at Lakehurst, New Jersey. Later, he served as the Petty Officer in Charge of the Electronics Division aboard the USS Detroit, leading fellow sailors while overseeing the maintenance and performance of vital shipboard electronic systems.
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, David reflects on the enduring values that have shaped our nation. For him, the milestone is an opportunity “to celebrate the foundational freedoms of our country” and appreciate the sacrifices made to preserve them.
While proud of his military service and contributions to federal operations, David’s greatest source of pride is his family. He treasures the life he has built with his loving wife and family and values the opportunities and freedoms that have allowed them to thrive.

Kathy Cabot | U.S. Air Force Veteran (Ret) | Master Sergeant
Kathy Cabot dedicated 21 years to serving her country in the United States Air Force, building a career centered on leadership, communication, and service. During her military career, she served as a Training Devices Technician, Recruiter, and Public Affairs Chief—roles that allowed her to support mission readiness, mentor future service members, and share the Air Force story with communities around the world.
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, Kathy reflects on the remarkable privilege of living in a nation founded on freedom and opportunity.
“It means that I am one of the luckiest 340 million people on this planet,” she says. “I appreciate the wisdom and vision of our Founding Fathers, whose Constitution and Bill of Rights continue to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.”
Service has remained a constant throughout Kathy’s life. Following her military career, she spent 10 years serving her community as a middle school teacher and another 10 years with one of the nation’s premier law enforcement agencies. In retirement, she continues to give back through volunteer work with St. Johns County Public Schools, Freedom Crossing Academy, and the Freedom Crossing Academy PTO. She also helps organize an annual golf tournament benefiting the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of her late husband, a retired Navy Senior Chief, and is preparing to serve as an adult volunteer with the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
Kathy credits her accomplishments to her faith and is most proud of her family, including her children and grandchildren, whose contributions continue to make a positive impact on their communities. Her story is a testament to a lifetime of service—to God, family, country, and community.
Ed Callahan | U.S. Navy (Ret) | Captain
For retired Navy Captain Ed Callahan, America’s 250th Birthday is more than a historic milestone—it is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by generations of Americans to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.
A native of North Carolina, CAPT Callahan dedicated 40 years of his life to serving our nation. Beginning his Navy career in 1983, he advanced from enlisted submariner to commissioned officer through the Limited Duty Officer program, ultimately rising to the rank of Captain. His distinguished career included strategic deterrent patrols aboard ballistic missile submarines, leadership positions across the globe, and command of Naval Weapons Station Earle before retiring in August 2023.
Throughout his service, Callahan earned numerous honors, including the Legion of Merit, five Meritorious Service Medals, and multiple Navy and Marine Corps commendations. Yet, his greatest source of pride extends beyond military decorations.
“The triad of family, service, and community has shaped the man I have become,” he shares. Coming from a family with a proud tradition of military service spanning the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard, Callahan credits those influences for inspiring his lifelong commitment to serving others.
Today, he continues that mission through his involvement with the Sea Cadets, helping mentor the next generation of leaders. Whether volunteering in schools, supporting Special Olympics, participating in Wreaths Across America, or speaking at community events, Callahan remains dedicated to giving back.
His message is simple yet powerful: there is no greater fulfillment than helping others and serving something larger than yourself.
